Guest scores and detailed hotel feedback
Staying at Casa Azul was a unique experience. The hotel offers an immersive setting with Mayan artifacts on display in the rooms, but the lack of windows made it a bit dark at times. The friendly service added a welcoming touch to the stay, yet the dining options were considered a bit overpriced. The charming location, encompassed by a delightful hacienda feel, provided easy access to nearby attractions.
The hotel rooms are historic, super clean, and equipped with all the comfort amenities you need, although hot water for showers was lacking. Despite facing the inside and being somewhat dark, they offer a sense of security in this area of Guatemala. The rooms showcase many Mayan artifacts, adding a cultural touch to the stay.
My stay at the hotel was delightful. The rooms, surrounding the flower-filled patio, were modest yet nicely decorated with two double beds and one single bed. The service was exceptional with staff constantly interacting with us, making us feel like family. The location allowed me to experience the heart of the older part of Guatemala City, with various dining options within walking distance. However, the dining experience was a bit pricey for what was offered.
Staying at this hotel was a bit more than I expected in terms of price, but it truly gave us a real taste of Guatemala and what was to come. The room was simple, clean, with free WiFi, and hot water, just like a home, although a bit confined if you have teenagers.
Staying at this hotel was like a journey back in time, with beautifully decorated rooms featuring local bedspreads and paintings. While the rooms were clean and comfortable, they faced an inner courtyard making them a bit dark but very secure. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, with a focus on security and guest satisfaction. The location was convenient, situated in the Centro Historico of Guatemala City and close to various attractions. The dining experience was elegant but slightly pricey, and the facilities were adequate for a comfortable stay.
